Week 5 - Thing 10

I went right to the Lolcat Image Generator and added a picture of a cat to my Blog, and the words "Isn't this just the cat's meow?". It was pretty easy to do. However, last night I tried it at home on my dial-up computer and all I can say is don't try this unless you have a fast connection!!

Week 4, Thing 9

Well, this exercise was fun. I really liked Merlin's RSS feed on Geocaching. I was out hiking one day and ran into 2 people who were geocaching. They explained it to me, and said they go all over the country hiking and enjoying this new sport. It is a new, fun way to explore that is just beginning to catch on.

I also liked Feedster. I imagine I will return to Feedster to find other good RSS feeds on topics that interest me. It seemed to be the easiest for me to use, and had the most interesting feeds. There's a whole new world out there that I would have never known about.

Week 4, Thing 8

This exercise has been pretty time consuming. It's overwhelming how much information is at our fingertips, literally. If I just had a brain that worked at the speed of light, I could absorbe a small piece of all this. My level of awareness has also been raised so I'll recognize the RSS feeds now, and I'll keep adding some new ones to my Bloglines account.

Tagging

These are the rules:
Each player lists 8 facts/habits about themselves. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning before those facts/habits are listed. At the end of the post, the player then tags 8 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

This is too much like junk mail so I'm not going to send this on to others. Sorry.

Week 1, Thing 1

I read the blog and found out about the program.

Week 3 -Thing 6

I spent way too much time with Flickr. It's a great program and I'd like to use it for my own digital pictures. Unfortunately, my computer connection is dial up and very slow with any kind of graphics.

Week 3 - Thing 7

I just love my digital camera so much I just can't imagine anyone who doesn't have one. I gave my 88 year old father one last year and he's taking lessons and using it way better than I do.

I also got an ipod last year. What a great gadget. My son figured I'd never use it. Well, he was sure wrong. I use it in the car, at the gym, and around the house. Sure beats carrying around a pile of CD's.

Week 1 - Thing 2...Item 1

The 7 1/2 habits of lifelong learning make perfect sense. It's nice to see the points in writing. I really like the idea of viewing problems as challenges.

Week 2 - Thing 4

My blog is registered with BCPL

Week 1 - Thing 2..Item 2

In response to the question about creating an entry about the which of the 7 1/2 habits that are the easiest and hardest for me, I'd say Habit 7 1/2 (Play) is the easiest...duh!, and Habit 3 (View problems as challenges) is the hardest, although I agree with the concept.

Week 2 - Thing 3

Well, it says I've created a blog. Just like that!
